I'm developing with Eclipse Luna and have installed SAPlink .
(Help -> Install New Software ...... http://eclipse.saplink.org)
I did the following after the installation of saplink:
Right click on the system (Project) on which I want to install the SAPlink for ADT and select SAPlink -> Install SAPlink.
So nothing happens
Who knows please, what the cause is?

since Eclipse Mars I'm facing the strange problem, that the Eclipse View ABAP Element Info does not show any informations. It only says "Current selection is not supported". With Eclipse Kepler it was working pretty fine. Does anyone hav a good idea about this?
Eclipse version: Mars.1 (Release 4.5.1)
ABAP Development Tools: Version 2.54.4
Backend: NW 7.40 SP 11

Hi everybody!
I have following issue in Eclipse: I set a breakpoint to debug my program. Program is executed up to the breakpoint and correctly stopped in Debugger. There I hit F8 (resume) and program continues, but the debug "session" (it is shown as thread) stays. The next time the breakpoint is hit, new session is created.
After this happens 4 times, debugger won't stop with message: Debugging is no more possible for the session, because the maximum allowed amout of System connection has been exceeded.
As a workaround I can manually stop previous opened "sessions", but this is really annoying. And these closed connections keep hanging in SM04 as RFC connections.
Anyone has the same problem? How can I solve it?
I'm running ABAP in Eclipse 2.41.1 on Kepler, SAP 731 SP 8

Do anyone know how to fix this issue.?
Issue: When i debug, i get the following message "Debugger cannot be launched because application server host cannot be reached from this Machine. See SAP note 1906917" for details."

Soon as in every June , new version of Eclipse - Mars will be released. I'm just curious if SAP team have already looked on M6 version and started the adjustments of ADT or not yet?

Hi, I am following this tutorial:

configured my proxy settings (I am sure the data is correct, ip, port, user, password).
and go to Help, Install Software and paste the url SAP HANA Cloud Platform
and get this error:

After i finish the installation and open the Eclipse, I have met an error like below:
ABAP communication layer is not configured properly. This might be caused by missing Microsoft Runtime DLLs VS2010. Consult the installation guide or download page for further details on how to install this component.
Error getting the version of the native layer: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\TONY\eclipse-SDK-3.7.2-win32-x86_64\eclipse\configuration\org.eclipse.osgi\bundles\316\1\.cp\lib\sapjco3.dll: Can't find dependent libraries

We've recently upgraded our sapgui to version 7.40 PL4. From that moment the font size in R3 views, e.g. se16 in eclipse is size 11.
I've used different themes. Font size changes in classical R3 environment don't seem to have any impact on the font size in eclipse.
The theme changes in eclipse, but the font size still remains 11.
Font size 11 is the only size that is available in the drop down list.
SAP 7.40, eclipse Luna service release 2 (4.4.2)
Does anyone of you have the same problem ?
Does someone have found an answer for this problem ?

Hello everyone,
as with ADT 2.51 for NW 7.50 great functions were added and I cant wait to try them, but I'm still missing in the Outline of a class an Inheritance Tree as in SE80 or similar to the Java perspective, not to say that in the form based class definition the inherited elements are visually highlighted. 
There I can see which super class is implemented, which methods were redefined or which methods of an Interface were implemented.
The overall big picture is missing.
Of course, I can find these information's over type hierarhy, trough the F2 element description and so on, but in my opinion I see this as an overhead.
Is or will such a feature considered?

I am new to CDS views in ABAP Dictionary so not sure whether my question is basic or complicated.
I want to create a CDS view in ABAP by joining 5-6 tables based on certain conditions and then retrieve the information from this view in my Report by passing the Select Options defined in the Report selection screen.
My Queries
a. Is the CDS view similar to a Normal Database view ?
b. Can I use IN select-option in my Open SQL statement to fetch information from CDS view ... e.g
SELECT f1 f2 f3 from CDS-View into Internal-Table where f1 in so_f1
c. Is it possible to have a CDS view and code it similar to Procedure in HANA where I can make join on 2 tables and get the results in a Temp table and then again join the Temp table and a third table and fetch the results in Temp2 table?
d. If point c. is not possible in CDS view then my question is How can I pass a Select option (multiple options) to a AMDP Procedure and use that in my query to fetch the information from database

Our developer is facing an authorization while activation 'No authorization to access resource /sap/bc/adt/activation. I have assigned below 2 roles to the user.
SAP_BC_DWB_ABAPDEVELOPER
SAP_BC_DWB_WBDISPLAY
This has access to /sap/bc/adt/abapsource/* /sap/bc/adt/activation, /sap/bc/adt/activation/*. To debug further, I ran a trace and got 2 missing authorizations

name : SADT_REST_RFC_ENDPOINT

I'm currently working on a project where I need to create quite a number of classes and interfaces, and this time, I can use the ADT to do so. There's one thing that's been bothering me, though. In the SAPGUI-based IDE, when the system prompts for a transport order using the familiar popup, it always remembers the last transport order selected and presets it so that you just need to press enter to confirm it. In the ADT dialog, the top-most transport is selected automatically. That may or may not be the transport I need - in my case, more often than not, it isn't, and I have to scroll through the list to locate the transport I need. For me - and probably for a few other users out there - it would be great if the transport selection step was able to remember the most recently used transport and preselect that so that I just need to confirm it. Would this be possible?
