Dear - I searched the forum as well web but didn't get any such specific discussion points on my quires so posting it here.
I use back end SAP from Remote Terminal Server (MSTSC). Can I access the same from Eclipse ADT. I have installed Eclipse Luna 32 bit on my desktop.So how can I configure Eclipse to access back end SAP without accessing through Remote Terminal Server.
Can someone please guide me on this?

May I ask which version of Mini SAP or SAP Netweaver trial version will be suitable for ADT?
I understand ADT requires SAP_BASIS Release 7.31, will AS ABAP 7.03 meet this requirement?
Hello.
i have Eclipse Luna (64bit) installed and using JRE 1.8. ADT were installed successfully.
I'm using Win7/64bit and SAPGUI 7.40 PL1 Hotfix 1.
I can open the ABAP perspective in Eclipse.
But when i try to create a new ABAP Project nothing happens.
But on a computer of colleguage a window opens asking for SAP application server.
Is there any way to analyze whats going wrong ?

When I want to start a new project I receive the following message, when trying to connect to the system:
User <user> is not authorized to access system <sid> via ABAP in Eclipse (No authorization to access the resource /sap/bc/adt/compatibility/graph.)
I have the done all the things described in the following blog:
Can someone help me?
Transaction SU53 was not helpfull.
When I'm searching for a program in the Source Library, I see the list of programs, but there is no column for the Title. Is there a way to make the title show?

Hi, I'm new to SCN and Sap in general (Hopefully I found a decent spot for this post). I will be developing in ABAP and would like to use eclipse if possible as I'm told new development is being done to support it and SAP is moving in this direction. We currently have SAP ECC 605 with SAP_BASIS 702 which I'm told does not support eclipse development (also see http://scn.sap.com/thread/339419) In a recent SAP class it was suggested that the Basis team can install EHP6 and only activate the BASIS and ABAP content to minimize the time spent on our testing for possible effects on our system. Is this a feasible solution or would it be necessary to do the complete upgrade to EHP6 and subsequent testing to use eclipse and ensure the system is unaffected? Thanks much, -Chris

I'm rather new in ABAP in Eclipse, but I thought one could save the layout of a set of related objects in Eclipse.
What I mean:
I am working on a 'project' and have a program and two classes opened in Eclipse. Always when I work on this project, I need these three objects. Is there a way to save this layout - these 3 tabs with the 3 objects - so that I can open them all 3 together?

Just want to say, "Great job, guys/gals!", to those working on ABAP in Eclipse. Early on I tried AIE and found it hard to install, a bit odd and pieced together. But recently I decided to give it another go on Luna. It is finally coming to fruition and I am starting to see and reap the benefits of this new editor! Still a lot of work to be done to migrate all the SE80 functionality, but you are on the right track!

I think there was some thread, with tools you are using to make your programming life easier. Unfortunatelly I can't find this thread, so I will just share in this new one.
I'm using Mylyn, which is a very great way to organize your tasks and especially, if you have to work on more tasks at a time, it offers you great way how to easily switch files and your focus between them.
You just create tasks in the "Task List" view (carefull, this is not the ToDo view, and you can open it, only if Mylyn is installed). Then you can activate the task and open any programs/includes you need to chande/see to solve the task. When you will switch to another task, all these windows will be closed and only windows of that other task will be opened, so that you can focus fully on that other task.
There is even possibility to filter out object from the Project Explorer, however this doesn't work with ABAP Projects, don't know why...

today i recognized that it is not possible to define ABAP Doc comments for redefined methods.
Short questions, why?
I would see it as very usefull, because
- in the super class i can describe the common purpose of the method
- in the sub class i can describe the concrete behaviour
Do you agree?

I wonder wether it's possible to open a dev object by name with the object type. It's because Ctrl+Shift+A is very slow. So if I know which object type to lookup I'd like to filter for it also to get results faster. Is that possible somehow with ADT?
