Opening debug Perspective Issue

Hi

we are moving towards the use of Eclipse in ABAP Development.

Now for testing and developing we have two different client. Say(X for developing and Y for testing)

now for X client we all developer have different credential. but for Y client we have one common username and password.

so now problem is if i put breakpoint and run the program (from Eclipse )and if other developer is also login in Y client(with same credential in eclipse) then my debug perspective is getting opened in his/her Computer. and at ant time 4-5 person are there in Y client with same login .

and we can not have different credential for Y client.

 

Though this is not happening in SAP  GUI

 

Any solution?

Hi, I am following this tutorial:

 

SAP HANA Cloud Platform

 

"Installing SAP Development Tools for Eclipse"

 

configured my proxy settings (I am sure the data is correct, ip, port, user, password).

 

and go to Help, Install Software and paste the url SAP HANA Cloud Platform

 

 

 

and get this error:

 

Unable to read repository at https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna/content.xml.

Unable to read repository at https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna/content.xml.

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

 

 

Any advice how to fix this error?

Data Preview sub menu Missing in Eclipse

hi,

we are planning to start using eclipse for ABAP Developent.

now I want to know if there is any feature like SE16

I know there is "Data Preview" but some how it is not getting displayed in Context menu.

Our system : ECC 6.0 with EHP 6.0 and Netweaver  7.31 Service pack 12.

can any one tell me how to enable "Data preview" feature or any similar feature

7.40 SP8 new syntax formatting issue

We have recently upgraded our netweaver 7.40 to SP8.  This gives us a lot of new ABAP features which are really nice.  The only problem is that ADT does not seem to recognize this syntax and thus formats multiple part of it in red (thus making it seem like errors).  No errors are shown in the problems tab and the code is compiled without problems, so it is only a display issue.  I work with ADT on Eclipse Luna, with all ADT components completely updated.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?  Is there a solution (planned) for this?

Alternate to SP upgrade for getting new Eclipse features

Hi Experts,

 

We have not yet upgraded to SP6 for availing the new Eclipse features like Webdynpro views or Enhancement framework view or Forms view. Our Objects opens in SAP GUI inside Eclipse. We are in SP5 and need to upgrade to SP6 as per my understanding from this forum.

 

I would like to find our if we have any SAP NOTES as an alternate to system upgrade so that on applying the NOTES we can start using Eclipse full fledged. While working on SAP WebIDE, I came across some NOTES for enhancing the ADT connection - 2046730  2047506. Implemented it, but not of much use.

Is there any similar NOTES we can use for Eclipse? Our system update will take some time but we are planning to move to Eclipse sooner.

 

Any hints?

Is it possible open any program or function in Display mode or read only mode in Eclipse Editor?

we are moving towards the use of Eclipse editor for abap development and our team members are really missing that feature?

Eclipse Debugger is not working

Hi All,

I installed eclipse in my system, everything is working fine. But i am not able to use debugger in eclipse. During Runtime, system showing the GUI debugger instead of eclipse.

 

Please do let me know, should i need to do any other configuration for debugger.

I am trying to install ABAP in Eclipse  and getting below error.

does any one any idea how to resolve it.

 

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

  Software being installed: ABAP Development Tools - Core 1.0.2 (com.sap.adt.tools.feature.group 1.0.2)

  Missing requirement: ABAP Development Tools Communication Framework 1.0.2 (com.sap.adt.fwk.ci.feature.group 1.0.2) requires 'org.eclipse.mylyn.commons.feature.group [3.4.3,4.0.0)' but it could not be found

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: ABAP Development Tools - Core 1.0.2 (com.sap.adt.tools.feature.group 1.0.2)

Missing authorization for new project

Hey folks,

 

I have a problem getting started with abap in eclipse.

When I want to start a new project I receive the following message, when trying to connect to the system:

User <user> is not authorized to access system <sid> via ABAP in Eclipse (No authorization to access the resource  /sap/bc/adt/compatibility/graph.)

 

I have the done all the things described in the following blog:

Enabling ABAP in Eclipse

 

Can someone help me?

What ways are conceivable to install AIE-Tools?

Hi,

 

out of my blog How to get your colleagues into ABAP in Eclipse it started a discussion why the installing of AIE-Tools is a lot of work.

Can it be done in an easier way?

 

In my opinion there are two ways:

 

First way is to have it, as delivered right now.

In my opinion it is a good way, for sure, not that easy if you do it the first time, but it is ok (my personal view)

 

Second way: Get a "All-in-One" Package delivered.

One download with a installer included, Start it -- be happy.

 

What ways are conveivable to install AIE-Tools, what do you think would be good (or the best) way to get the AIE-Tools installed?

 

 

A colleague and me just tried today, if it is a possible scenario to create a "out of the box" scenario. It is possible, so that means in bigger companies there is a scenario, that one goes through the installing-process and create the "Initial-version".

This advantage is just possible for the AIE Tool and not for the HANA-Studio. Maybe this is a good way to onboard others fast and easy.

Text Symbol in Eclipse Editor

Hi,

 

We are now using eclipse for ABAP.

How can I create text-symbols in eclipse i.e. text-xxx.

In SAP GUI we need to double click and then it gets created from the window it opens, but in eclipse I am not getting any option.

I saw that using Quick fix we can do, but I am not getting that feature in mine. Is this not supported in Netweaver 7.3?

ADT 2.24 - Open SAPGUI Problem

Hi,

 

I have installed SAP HANA Studio and on top of it installed ADT 1.24 on Windows 7. I have configured it with SAP CRM 7.0 EhP3 based on NetWeaver 7.40 release. I also have SAP GUI 7.30 with Patch 8 installed. Now from Eclipse when I try to open SAP GUI, the window does get open however I see a message in the SAP GUI status bar "Invalid GUI input data: window dimension". Is this due to any of my settings or a bug?

When open the Eclipse has an error

Hello everyone,

 

After i finish the installation and open the Eclipse, I have met an error like below:

 

ABAP communication layer is not configured properly. This might be caused by missing Microsoft Runtime DLLs VS2010. Consult the installation guide or download page for further details on how to install this component.

Error getting the version of the native layer: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\TONY\eclipse-SDK-3.7.2-win32-x86_64\eclipse\configuration\org.eclipse.osgi\bundles\316\1\.cp\lib\sapjco3.dll: Can't find dependent libraries

 

 

Does anyone tell me why?(Microsoft Runtime DLLs VS2010  have already installed in the system or anyboby could give me the link to down the

Microsoft redistributable runtime DLLs VS2010 SP1 (x86)).

Hi

 

I am trying to use ADT on the following system:

 

OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

 

Eclipse Luna 4.4.2 with the following installation details:

SAP GUI for Java 7.40 rev 2

(Version ID 074000040200)

 

The backend system is SAP NetWeaver 7.4

 

1) When I try to create an ABAP Project I get the following error:

 

Landscape file */Library/Preferences/SAP/SAPGUILandscape.xml cannot be parsed.

Please check its content or the configuration path in SAP GUI.


2) I also tried creating the connection manually but I get the following error in this instance:


         Logon to system SYSID failed (hostname 'MYCOMPUTERNAME' unknown)


Any idea why I would be experiencing these problems and how I can resolve them?

Error creating an ABAP project with ABAP Developer Tools 2.31.5 and SAPGUI 740

Context:

I have recently installed SAPGUI version 740 (7400.1.0.1093). Next to that I have installed Eclipse version Luna with the latest version of ABAP Developer Tools from

https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna(2.31.5).

 

Problem:

When trying to create a new ABAP project I get the following error:

Location 'C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\saplogon.ini' does not point to a SAP GUI configuration file.

 

Question:

Since SAPGUI 740 a new type of configuration file is used: SAPUILandscape.xml

I have a local version of this file for own SAP Logon entries and a local server version for company SAP Logon entries.

How can I configure my ADT environment so it works together with SAPGUI 740?

System hangs while working with Adobe forms in Eclipse

Hi, I am new to SAP ABAP and ABAP in Eclipse. So far we were using SAP GUI, but now we are moving towards Eclipse for ABAP.

I am creating adobe forms  in eclipse using Open with SAP GUI option. I am able to create and execute in eclipse  but it always hangs when I try opening the layout and then closing it. Once it hangs, I need to kill Eclipse process from task manager.

Can anybody help me?

My system configurations are as below :

                         Adobe live cycle designer version : 9.0

                         SAP net weaver : SAP Ehp3 for 7.0 SP12

                         SAP ECC : Ehp6 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP12

Error: System does not support Eclipse based ABAP Development Tools

When attempting to create a new ABAP Project in ADT, I get an error at the credentials screen.

 

"Logon to system ERD failed (System "ERD" does not support Eclipse based ABAP Development Tools)"

Perhaps someone can help shed some light on this.  Is there some additional configuration that must be done either on the client or backend?
